School is cool and can indeed be stressful. Here's some tips to get you through the school year.

Never put off for tomorrow, what you can do today.

Don't wait for tomorrow to do things that matter especially when it comes to school. This way you avoid cramming and rushing to finish a project or school paper. Do that advance reading too even if it's just 2-3 pages in advance reading.

Plan, plan, plan.

Don't just plan for homework, major exams or school activities. Schedule down time or chill time, too. All work no play, makes one a dull girl.

Make sure tools are readily available.

Books, cute school supplies, watch to keep the time, versatile school bag, etc. Knowing you have everything you need makes it easier to succeed in school. Because college life can be hectic, having a trusted phone like the new OPPO F3 does not hurt, too.

Be healthy always.

Get your boost of happiness by exercising, get at least 8 hours of sleep, drink at least 8 glasses of water, eat healthy and don't forget to take your vitamins. The "Work hard, play hard" should not be in your vocabulary while you are still studying and living from your parents hard earned money.

Be a stand out personality in school.

You don't have to be the girl with all the latest fashion, or the one with the most expensive outfit and gadgets. You can dress comfortably, classic and chic but have a smile ready at all times. Say "Hi!" to random kids in school because they might be going through rough times. Involve yourself in school activities, too. It's all about the balance.

For school, I prefer to dress comfortably, classy and chic.

OOTD Colors: Black and Blue

Esprit blue jeans, blue Le Pliage Long Handle Longchamp Tote, black Charles & Keith flats, black geometric IORA top and silver men's Fossil watch.

We've seen many beauty and lifestyle Youtubers talking about favorite scents and candles. They always talk about brands that are not readily available in the Philippines.

Worry not. Jealous much no more. Here's a new brand, Happy Island Candles, that is equally cool and  comes in scents made for the Philippines weather.

Happy Island Candles comes in soy candles, travel tin & candle melts.

Happy Island Candles

All Happy Island Soy Candles are hand poured and are wonderfully scented
to help you relax and enjoy life and living! #lighthappiness

Full sized soy candles are sold for Php350 at 120ml  size and the 240ml is for Php450 only. The travel tin candles are sold for Php200. Nice way to travel and always have comfort scents in a foreign land. Candle melts are sold for Php250 a piece. Not very bad for a price range. Affordable!

I am impressed with their e-commerce website. It's something that older Philippines companies don't have. Shipping is free if your order totals above Php700. I'm curious how the "Summer Scent" and "Salted Caramel" soy candle smell like.

Let's support Pinoy brands and businesses. They are located at Retail Lab, 2nd Flr, Archeology, Powerplant Mall. Follow their social pages on Facebook and Instagram. Shop online here.

Personal hygiene products need not be expensive. These are the products I am currently using.

I have to say, the Olay Deep Moisture Body Wash was a purchase error. I was looking for a body lotion or moisturizer. But, since I'm out of body wash, Olay is not bad of brand to not try.

Purity Cotton Buds is available at Watsons. We love the packaging of this brand. There's no special reason why we love this brand except its container. It cleans ears just as fine as other brands.

Colgate toothpaste has been in the family for too long. Sometimes people forget that Colgate is a brand name and not the actual product. #Face2Face with Sarah G campaign is making waves online.

Sunsilk Smooth & Manageable Shampoo is my all-time favorite shampoo. One hair wash is all it takes to get that smooth and floral fragrant hair all day.

Since itchy scalp is ailing me in this really hot weather, Head & Shoulders is making a staple in the shower. I prefer the minty variant but I could try the smooth & silky one, too.

Aveeno is slowly entering the Philippines market. I remember getting Aveeno through my sister who lives in the United States. In the last 2 weeks, Jennifer Aniston is gracing Philippines TV through the brand commercial.

Agua de Colonia, I love me any baby cologne. It's not too strong for the Philippines weather. It's light and fresh. Easy to wear on a daily basis.
