If there's a mall nearby, my first thought would be if there is a National Bookstore inside. I can spend hours in this store. I don't just go to NBS for books but also for school supplies like pens, notebooks, notepads, highlighters and office supplies. I have claimed multiple e-purse points since owning a Laking National card. If you love books and is a reader, I recommend getting the Laking National loyalty card from National Bookstore.

Membership fee will be waived upon presentation of single or accumulated receipts worth P5,000 from National Book Store within the past 12-months (not applicable for renewal).
  2. Fill out the Membership Application Form and submit to the Customer Service Counter.
  3. Once the card is received, kindly affix your signature at the back of the card. You can start collecting points and receive special offers immediately.
*Not valid for online application.

I love Samsung's latest innovation, the Samsung Family Hub 2.0 Refrigerator! The next generation refrigerator, building upon Family Hub 1.0 which was introduced to wide acclaim last year.

Key Enhancements:
  • Users can determine which food items need to be replenished through the internal View Inside cameras.
  • Images of those items can then be added to the shopping list feature, and conveniently ordered through the Groceries by MasterCard app.
  • In addition, the Recipe app, powered by AllRecipes, features recipe readout and enlarged text to make it easier for users to multi-task in the kitchen as well as access recipe content from diverse countries around the world.
  • An entirely new and easy-to-use interface has been developed to enable family members to create their own profiles using avatars or their own personal pictures.
  • With the 21.5-inch LED touchscreen serving as an interactive digital bulletin board, family members can then, through their profiles and the Family Hub app on their smartphone, share photos, access updated calendars, handwrite memos in real time, and post memos from wherever they may be.
  • Users can issue voice commands to learn the weather and time, add products to shopping lists and order groceries online, manage to-do- lists as well as calendar schedules, in addition to controlling various other apps.
  • Samsung is also collaborating closely with partners including Grubhub, Nomiku, Glympse, Ring, Spotify, and iHeartRadio.
  • E-Commerce grocery shopping capabilities from grocers like EATALY and LiDL are bringing more convenience to European consumers, and Morning Brief news content provides relevant news from Upday for users in Europe, NPR for users in the US, and Kakao for those in Korea.

Considering a home appliance upgrade? How much do you think this piece of technology costs in Philippines Peso? Get Samsung Family Hub 2.0 Refrigerator on your bucketlist!

I thought it was over but it's back again.

I experienced the same prickling and burning pain. It's twice in a row this month.
I think I only felt relief in about 2-3 days before it started again.
And, every time I eat, I feel like vomiting.

This time I had to take medication.

Is this what it means to get older? The unhealthy lifestyle and bad habits are catching up on me.

I have always been a sickly person. You'd think I'd develop a healthy lifestyle by now.
No, not me. I was told many times I am hardheaded.

Yet, I hate getting sick. Hope this medication works.

I just restarted my Youtube channel. This time, I will no longer be posting videos about makeup. I didn't know that there's a strong planner addict community on Youtube. I am one of them so I thought I might share my planning tips and tricks, arts and crafting styles.

Here's my most recent video where I did a walk through of the Muji 2017 Planner.

I also wrote a review of the Muji 2017 Planner back in October. The link is here.

Just a few updates on the Muji planner: if you use ballpoint pens, it won't bleed through the next page.

I also recommend using the Uni Pin Fine Line pens in 0.3 mm and 0.5mm. The 0.7mm gel pen ink seem stronger. If you write with a heavy hand, it might bleed through the next page. Otherwise, you will only see ghosting or shadows. Those are okay in the planner world.

I am interested to know what planner you are using. I am in need of planner inspiration. I am also in the process of uploading my arts and crafts haul on Youtube. Don't forget to subscribe to my channel so you won't miss new updates.

Thank you!

A great gift to give someone special is the gift of good health and wellness for the upcoming new year. Healthy Options Philippines have put together five gift boxes full of healthy snacks. There's a theme for each box and for sure, one of that box fits the one you love.

The Advent Candle Box is a Christmas box for the health enthusiast.

The Christmas Angel Box is for that someone you know who is allergic to gluten.

The Star of Bethlehem Box is for the certified foodie that you know.

The Evergreen Fir Box is for the fitness junkie.

The St. Nicholas Box is a healthy food snack box that the whole family can enjoy.

The problem is the Healthy Options website isn't very informative. There's no description on what each box contains or if it's customizable. I can't even find the price of the gift boxes or is it priced depending on the items inside the box?

I tried contacting them via social media but I was directed to their website which did not help. And, there's no Healthy Options store near me. I have to travel to a different city which is two hours away. I would love to find out more before visiting the store or buying.

If there's a store near you, maybe you could help me out. Leave me your feedback in the comments below. Thank you!

..thus far.

1. Arizona Green Tea

An AriZona classic for over ten years, this is America’s best-selling green tea. Ever wonder how it became so popular? Well, the next time you buy one, take a moment to reflect upon what you’re drinking. 100% natural green tea. Just the right amount of ginseng and a touch of delicious Sue Bee® Premium Orange Honey. When you’re done reflecting, open the bottle and down it. It’s as delicious as ever.

What I love is that it's not bitter and not too sweet. So good!

2. Filofax Geometric Pocket Organiser

Soft touch leather-look organiser with striking geometric pattern and pastel blue interior. The cutest color combination item that I own. I truly love the soft leather and padded feel of the cover. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel as I will be uploading my unboxing video next month.

This is what I'm loving so far. How about you? Let me know in the comments below. Thank you.

It's checklist season and I'm obsessed watching planner set up videos on Youtube. I already own an A5 ring binder planner but there's something about owning a Filofax.

I've recently ordered the Geometric Pocket Organiser just to fill my Filofax fixation. It's not the most ideal in terms of design but it's still too cute. I'll show you when I have it set up.

But, here's what I would love on a Filofax planner:

1. Denim Dots Organizer - 4 Card Slots ( Left Hand Details)
2. Classic Croc Organizer - Wallet Pocket ( Special Features)
3. Malden Organizer - Vertical Slip Pocket & Notepad Pocket ( Right Hand Details)

I cannot figure out the coin or zipper pocket in a leather Filofax organizer. I feel like the one's they already have is just too small and will eventually damage the organizer. And you know that Filofax doesn't come cheap, the zipper pocket feature will just end up being useless.

I know a leather store, supplier, and manufacturer of leather goods that my Mother frequents. I wonder how much it will cost to have a custom planner made.

What's your ideal leather planner design? Are you into Filofax or other brands? Let me know your recommendations below. Thank you.

As defined by blogger Becoming Minimalist, minimalism is the intentional promotion of the things we most value and the removal of everything that distracts us from it.

Minimalism is a lifestyle. It does not equate to letting go of all things and owning boring things. My take on it is to live a life that is anti-materialism. To own what is only necessary, the one's that is truly loved, and having a well-curated house.

Every year, there is such a thing that we call "spring cleaning" and letting go of things that we don't use or love anymore. Only to find another year of amassing more things to replace the one's we've let go.

Owning shoes in several colors is not minimalism. In my case, buying books just because I can is not minimalism. Sure, let's talk about my colored pens collection, notebooks, and craft materials, too.

But, if I have a minimalist household, what would it look like? Here's some furniture that reminds me of minimalism because of its no frills factor and still beautiful to look at.

  1. Nest - Frankfurt Table Oak and White
  2. Debenhams - Set of 2 'Kempton' armchairs
  3. Muji - Solid Oak Double Bed
  4. Marks & Spencer - Hastings Ivory Triple Wardrobe

What's your take on minimalism?

I've already rid myself of the clothes that don't fit me, that I don't wear or have no use because of a change in lifestyle. Less clutter,  less maintenance, the better. If I hate the upkeep of certain things, it's going out the door. Next, I need to tackle the books. That's going to hurt. Oh, the bags, too. Ugh!

Grammarly is a proofreading feature that is always on. Every time you write, you’ll immediately get corrections and suggested ways to write a sentence. Installing the Grammarly plugin to Chrome was easy and the best decision I’ve made. The installation and use is free but you can get more services for a premium.

Click photo above to go to Grammarly. Best decision ever!

You don’t have to open a separate Word pad in order to use the spell check feature. If you’re online, writing a response to your e-mail on Gmail, or updating your social media feed in various social media sites, Grammarly will help correct the mistakes wherever you are on the web.

Before Grammarly, I was relying on the MS Word spell and grammar check feature. After a few days, I get back to my writing and then notice the mistakes I’ve made. Writing the cover letter and proofreading the resume is much easier and minimizes the mistakes. Grammarly guarantees all these before you hit the send button.

As a blogger, I always thought that blogging is a free form of writing, without too much processing or filtering the thought because it’s my personal space. It’s not a professional writing space. But, as years go by and I started booking paid written works, this is when proper use of grammar is most important. Thank goodness for Grammarly!

Save yourself the hassle and going back to old articles just to proofread. Install Grammarly now. It’ll make your life easier.

Are you planner or planning obsessed? Every year, choosing the planner to use gets difficult. Starbucks planner, Filofax, Kikki K, Doki, etc. sounds all good and promising.

This year, I'm lucky to get a hold of the Muji Schedule Note 2017 planner. It's in red, hard plastic cover and in the A5 size. Its clean, minimalist look is a change. The grid page after the weekly spread is a chance to work on my lettering or calligraphy skills.

The only downside I can say about this planner is the paper quality. I haven't tested it out yet but I feel the thin paper will cause some pen inks to bleed through the next page. Be careful about using ink pens on this planner.

Muji 2017 Planner is for Php795 only and is available at Muji stores.

What is your choice of planner for next year? Share them and send me a link in the comment section below. Thank you!
